CAN-2055C is a CANopen slave I/O module for engineers who need to bring digital inputs and outputs onto a CAN bus network. It follows CiA 301 v4.02 and CiA 401 v2.1, so digital I/O status can be read and configured through standard CANopen objects, and it works with any standard CANopen master once the default EDS file is loaded.
The module provides 8 isolated sink/source digital inputs with a wet-contact type, and 8 isolated source (PNP) digital outputs rated at 700mA per channel with a load voltage of +10 ~ +30 VDC. Each channel carries 4KV ESD protection contact, which helps the module tolerate harsh field wiring.
Communication is configured through 10 RxPDOs and 10 TXPDOs with PDO mapping, using event-triggered, remotely-requested, cyclic and acyclic SYNC modes. Error control is provided by Node Guarding or Heartbeat Producer, and the module includes a built-in 120Ω terminal resistor. The unit is RoHS compliant and mounts on a DIN-rail.
