The DGW-521 CR is a DIN-rail gateway that lets a host PC, PAC or TouchPAD control DALI lighting devices over serial or USB. It accepts Modbus RTU and DCON from RS-232, RS-485 or USB and translates them to DALI, so existing serial-based control software can address a DALI lighting network without a separate DALI controller.
A built-in DALI power supply (16 VDC ±5%, maximum 250 mA) can be switched on or off, which suits installations where the DALI bus is already powered elsewhere. The ID code can be set over the RS-485 interface, which simplifies commissioning. DALI isolation is rated at 1500 VDC.
The gateway is intended for DALI lighting systems covering small areas. DALI signal cables must not exceed 300 m. The unit carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marks. The USB driver is listed for Windows XP and Windows 7 only.
