The EMP-9251-32 CR is a Windows 10 IoT based programmable automation controller with an EtherCAT Master built in, supporting up to 32 axes. It suits engineers who need motion control, I/O and an operator interface in a single DIN-rail or wall-mounted unit, with a 1.6 ~ 4.1 GHz Intel Core i5-8365UE processor and 16 GB DDR4 memory.
Synchronised motion functions, including electronic gearing and cam profiles, virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation, are provided for coordinated machine control. Two slots accept e9K, I-9K or I-97K series I/O modules, and the on-board 8 digital inputs and 8 open-collector digital outputs (sink type) cover basic machine signalling without expansion.
Connectivity includes two 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/RS-485 and one RS-485 serial port, both 3000 VDC isolated, and VGA and HDMI video outputs. A redundant power input, dual watchdog timer and a second CPU that maintains EtherCAT communication through an OS or program crash help support continuous operation.
