The ET-87P4-MTCP CR extends I-87K series I/O modules over Ethernet, acting as a Modbus TCP slave for supervisory systems. Four slots accept analogue, digital and DI counter modules, and the I/O can be hot swapped without taking the whole unit out of service.
Two RJ-45 switch ports allow units to be daisy-chained in series or connected to other Ethernet devices, reducing cabling and panel space. An RS-232 console port supports Modbus RTU/ASCII slave operation, and the unit can also act as a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway.
Designed for harsh, electrically noisy sites, the unit has a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC input with 1 kV isolation and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. Auto configuration, status LEDs and watchdog functions help with commissioning, fault detection and safe-state handling.
