GW-2492M lets BACnet/IP clients read and write Modbus RTU registers. The unit acts as a Modbus RTU master on its serial side, polling up to 32 stations, and presents the data to the building management network as BACnet objects.
Modbus discrete inputs, coils, input registers and holding registers can be mapped to any combination of BACnet AI, AO, AV, BI, BO, BV, MSI, MSO and MSV objects, with up to 180 points each for DI, DO, AI and AO. Simple data translation can be applied as values pass between the two protocols. Several BIBBs are supported, including DS-RP-B, DS-RPM-B, DS-WP-B, DS-WPM-B, DM-DDB-B, DM-DOB-B, DM-DCC-B and DM-RD-B.
Setup is done entirely in a standard web browser, covering both the configurable BACnet/IP server and the Modbus RTU master. The metal housing mounts on DIN-rail and accepts a +10 ~ +30 VDC supply, with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
