The HRT-711 CR works as the HART master device in a Modbus network. A Modbus master can access 2-wire or 4-wire HART devices such as transmitters and actuators through its 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port, so field instruments can be brought into a Modbus system without building a separate HART interface.
On the HART side, the gateway provides one port with two HART masters, operating in point-to-point or multi-drop mode with up to 15 HART devices. It handles short and long frames and HART burst mode, and the 250 Ω loop resistor is selected by jumper. Only digital HART data is carried.
Configuration is carried out with the utility software supplied by the manufacturer. The unit runs from an unregulated +10 ~ +30 VDC supply, operates from -25 ~ +75 °C, and mounts on DIN rail or wall. It is marked CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE.
