The I-7550-M lets engineers bring existing serial equipment onto a PROFIBUS DP network without redesigning the device. It acts as a DP-V0 slave, passing data between the PROFIBUS master and a single serial port that can be configured for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485.
The Hybrid COM 1 port is selected by wiring, so one physical port serves all three electrical standards, though only one can be active at a time. The 7 or 8 data bit, none/odd/even parity and 1 stop bit formats, with baud rates from 1200 to 115200, cover the common settings found on field instruments and controllers. The PROFIBUS transmission rate is detected automatically, and the station address is set from 0 to 126 using a DIP switch.
Designed for industrial automation, factory automation and process automation, the metal housing mounts on a DIN rail. Operating temperature is -25 ~ +75℃, and the unit carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marks.
