NS-200WDM-A is the local-end unit of a single-strand fibre media converter pair. It bridges a 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 Ethernet port to a 100Base-FX SC fibre link, carrying both transmit and receive traffic over one single-mode fibre using wavelength division multiplexing (TX 1310 nm, RX 1550 nm). This halves the number of fibres needed for a link, which is useful where long-distance fibre is costly to install.
The unit is designed for plug-and-play use, with automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover and 10/100 Mbps auto negotiation. It uses store-and-forward switching and provides 1500 Vrms isolation. Overload protection, soft start, high/low voltage protection and reverse polarity protection are included. Its 32.3 mm width suits compact DIN-rail installations.
Important: this unit works as a pair. You must order NS-200WDM-A together with NS-200WDM-B at the other end of the link.
