The NS-205PFCS-60-24V is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch that pairs four 10/100Base-TX copper ports, each acting as a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) port, with a single 100Base-FX single-mode SC fibre uplink. It is intended for engineers who need to power remote IEEE 802.3af devices from one central location while carrying data over a long fibre run.
Each PoE port supplies up to 15.4 W and detects connected powered devices automatically, with power managed per port. The fibre link is rated for up to 60 km, and 9/125 μm fibre is recommended for full duplex operation. Because the link is optical, it is less exposed to electrical noise than a copper segment of the same length.
The unit accepts a 24 VDC input from +18 to +32 VDC with reverse polarity protection, and an internal boost stage allows PoE to be delivered where a 48 VDC supply is not available. The plastic DIN-rail housing is rated for -30 °C to +75 °C operation.
