The NS-205PFCS-60 is an unmanaged Ethernet switch that combines four 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports, each acting as a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) port, with one 100Base-FX single-mode fibre port. It centralises power distribution, so PoE-capable devices can be powered over their Ethernet cable from a single DC supply, with up to 15.4 W per channel.
Power management is automatic. The switch detects connected powered devices (PDs) and manages power for each port, and it is 100% IEEE 802.3af compliant. The SC single-mode fibre port carries 100 Mbps traffic over distances of up to 60 km, with 9/125 μm fibre recommended for full duplex operation.
This CR variant is supplied with a +46 VDC to +55 VDC power input and is suited to DIN-rail installation in industrial enclosures, with an operating range of -30 °C to +75 °C.
