The NSM-200G-SFP links a 10/100/1000Base-T copper Ethernet segment to a 1000 Mbps fibre link through a single SFP slot. It suits engineers who need to extend an existing network, bring non-fibre equipment onto a fibre backbone, or stretch the distance between two devices without changing the rest of the installation.
The SFP slot accepts a 1000 Base-LX device, and the converter is transparent to jumbo packets up to 10 KB. Link Fault Pass-through (LFP) is available and is enabled through the DIP switch, so a fault on one side of the link can be relayed to the other side. Store-and-forward processing and 512 Kbit of frame buffer memory are provided.
The metal housing is designed for DIN-rail or optional wall mounting. The unit accepts redundant +12 VDC ~ +48 VDC power input with reverse polarity protection, and includes a relay alarm output rated 1 A @ 30 VDC. Operating range is -30 °C ~ +75 °C.
