The PCI-P8R8U is a universal PCI card that combines eight optically isolated digital inputs with eight relay outputs. The photo-coupler inputs provide 5000 Vrms isolation, so input signals can be fully floated, which helps prevent ground loops in industrial control and monitoring setups.
The relay channels can switch external loads, drive external relays or small power switches, or trigger alarms. A 4-bit Card ID switch on the board lets software tell cards apart when two or more are installed in one computer. Drivers and sample programs are provided for Linux, DOS and Windows, with a DLL, ActiveX control and examples for several languages, including Visual Basic, C#.NET and LabVIEW.
This ordering code includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector for wiring the board.
