The WP-8821-CE7 CR is an 8-slot programmable automation controller built around a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and Windows CE 7.0. It suits engineers who need a PC-style control platform that can run Visual Basic .NET, Visual C#, Visual C++, SCADA or soft PLC software alongside its I/O.
Eight expansion slots accept I-8K (parallel-type) and I-87K (serial-type) I/O modules, allowing the controller to be configured for different signal types. Connectivity includes two 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 host ports, a VGA port and four serial ports (RS-232 and RS-485).
The 8-slot version provides 512 MB SDRAM, 256 MB Flash and 512 KB MRAM for data retention, with optional microSD storage of up to 32 GB. Dual watchdog timers, a redundant power input and a 64-bit hardware serial number add to its suitability for industrial deployment. The operating temperature range is -25 ~ +75 °C.
