The ECAT-M808-64AX/S CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice board for PC-based motion and I/O control. It controls up to 64 axes and up to 512 slaves, with an EtherCAT cycle time down to 0.5 ms. Its built-in CPU handles the motion and I/O functions, which reduces the processing load on the host PC.
Motion features include synchronised motion (E-GEAR and E-CAM), virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. The board also provides 13 digital inputs, 13 digital outputs and 2 encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs, so encoder feedback and discrete I/O can be handled on the same card.
A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, keeping EtherCAT communication and the process recipe running if the operating system or an application crashes. This ordering code includes a DN-26 and a CA-2615M, and the board is supplied with CE, UKCA, RoHS and WEEE certification.
