The EMP-9058-16 CR is a SoftPLC-based motion controller that runs a PLC, multi-axis motion logic and Windows applications side by side. Its EtherCAT master and motion engine run on a dedicated processor in a real-time environment, so control timing stays deterministic while Windows software such as HMIs or data processing tools operates alongside it.
Programming follows IEC 61131-3, with FBD, LD, IL, ST and SFC available, and motion function blocks based on PLCopen and CiA402. The controller is rated for 16 axes in this ordering code, with a 0.5 ms cycle time specified for the series. Modbus TCP/RTU and an OPC UA server are built into the PLC runtime, so the unit can act as a Modbus/EtherCAT gateway or connect directly to standard OPC UA clients.
This variant uses the Intel Core i5-8365UE processor with 16 GB DDR4 memory and has no expansion slots. Its 8 digital inputs and 8 open-collector outputs are provided on board, and it is suited to machine-builders and system integrators who need a compact, metal-housed controller for control panels or machine cabinets.
