ET-7042-UT CR is a DIN-rail Ethernet I/O module that switches 16 isolated open-collector digital outputs in sink configuration. Each channel handles a load voltage of +5 ~ +30 VDC and up to 100 mA at 25°C, so it can drive loads directly or feed an RM series relay module when switching inductive loads.
The module is aimed at engineers who need remote, networked output control without a local PLC. It supports Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP, and includes a built-in web server with web HMI for configuration and monitoring. Access is restricted by ID, password and IP filter, and a dual watchdog helps the output stage return to a defined state after faults.
Power-on and safe values for the digital outputs are programmable, which allows each installation to define the state of its outputs at start-up and during communication loss. The listed operating range of -40 ~ +75°C suits cabinets in demanding environments, with 2500 VDC I/O isolation and 1500 VDC Ethernet isolation.
