The ET-7242-UT is an Ethernet-connected I/O module providing 16 isolated open-collector sink-type digital outputs. Each channel carries up to 650 mA at 25°C and can directly drive a power relay module, which is useful when switching inductive loads.
The built-in web server and Web HMI let engineers configure and monitor the module from a browser, while Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP provide host communication. The integrated 2-port 10/100 Base-TX switch with LAN bypass supports daisy-chain wiring. Dual watchdogs for the module and communication are programmable, and the power-on and safe values of each digital output can be set.
Optical isolation is rated at 3750 VDC on the I/O side and 1500 VDC on the Ethernet side. ESD, EFT and surge protection are specified to IEC 61000-4-2, -4-4 and -4-5. The module is rated for -40 to 75 °C operation and mounts on DIN-rail.
