GW-7557-M is a PROFIBUS DP-V0 slave gateway for bringing HART devices onto a PROFIBUS network. The PROFIBUS master reads and writes data from HART slave devices such as transmitters, actuators and current output instruments, so existing HART equipment can be integrated without replacing it.
The gateway offers four HART channels, supports point-to-point and multi-drop HART operation, and allows two HART masters. Up to 15 HART modules can be connected, and burst mode is supported. Configuration is handled with the utility software supplied by the manufacturer.
The metal-case version (-M) suits panel and DIN-rail installations in industrial automation, factory automation and process automation. It provides 2500 Vrms network isolation and 3000 VDC isolation on the PROFIBUS side, with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
