The I-8055-G is a digital I/O module from the I-8K/I-87K low-profile series, combining eight dry contact inputs with eight sink-type outputs on a single unit. It suits engineers who need straightforward switching and sensing signals in automation panels without galvanic isolation between channels.
Each input channel is activated by connecting it to GND and reads as open when released, so standard switches, relay contacts and push-buttons can be wired directly. The outputs are open-collector, sink-type (NPN) channels rated from +5 VDC to +30 VDC at 100 mA per channel, and 16 LED indicators show the state of the I/O channels together with power and communication status.
The module is suited to building, factory and machine automation as well as remote maintenance, remote diagnosis and test equipment. The grey cover identifies the -G variant, and 4 kV ESD protection is provided on every input and output channel.
