M-7017RC-G is an 8-channel analogue input module for measuring current signals on an RS-485 network. The built-in resistor means current can be read directly from the loop, so there is no need to fit an external shunt resistor, which simplifies wiring and commissioning.
The module is aimed at harsher installations. It offers ±200 VDC common voltage protection on the current inputs, 4 kV ESD protection on each terminal, and 3000 VDC isolation between the module and the bus. Sampling can be switched between Normal mode (10 Hz) and Fast mode (60 Hz), and open wire detection is available for 4 ~ 20 mA inputs.
This gray-cover (-G) variant communicates over a single RS-485 port using Modbus RTU or DCON, configured through software. It suits building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote maintenance, diagnosis and test equipment.
