The NSM-200LX CR is an industrial media converter that transparently links a 10/100/1000Base-T copper Ethernet connection to a single-mode fibre link. Its SC port operates at 1310 nm with a rated distance of 10 km, making it a practical way to extend an existing network or the separation between two devices.
It suits harsh-environment installations, with an operating range of -30 °C ~ +75 °C and redundant +12 VDC ~ +48 VDC power inputs, so a backup supply can keep the link running. Link Fault Pass-through (LFP) can be enabled by DIP switch, allowing a fault on one side of the link to be signalled to the other.
Key handling characteristics include store and forward processing, IEEE 802.3x flow control, Energy Efficient Ethernet (802.3az) and transparency to jumbo packets up to 10 KB. The metal housing mounts on a DIN-rail or, optionally, on a wall.
