The PROFI-5053 CR is a PROFIBUS DP slave that brings 24 dry contact digital inputs onto a PROFIBUS network. It suits engineers who need a compact, DIN-rail mounted input point for distributed machine or plant signals without adding a separate PLC input card.
Integration is straightforward. The module is set up from its GSD file in any PROFIBUS configurator, and the node address is chosen between 0 and 99 using rotary switches. The transmission rate is detected automatically across the listed PROFIBUS baud rates, up to 12 M.
For electrically noisy or mixed-potential installations, the bus side is isolated, with 3000 VDC DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms bus-to-logic isolation, and each terminal carries 4KV ESD protection. The unit is rated for operation from -25 ~ +75℃.
