The TPD-283U-M1 CR is a compact 2.8-inch touch HMI for wall-mounted control points, where it can replace conventional mechanical switches with a programmable touch interface. It combines a 240 x 320 TFT colour display with a resistive touch panel, a buzzer, a rotary switch and a reset button.
Connectivity covers a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port with PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1), one RS-485 port with Self-Tuner, and a USB 1.1 client port for firmware updates. The unit can also be powered from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU are supported, and a custom communication protocol can be written in C.
Programming options suit both PLC-oriented and IT-oriented engineers. The free HMIWorks tool provides Ladder Designer for ladder logic and a C language environment for application development, with a GUI design facility for building the screens. The white cover variant is the colour finish of this ordering code.
