The UA-5231M-4GE CR is an IIoT communication server for linking field devices with IT systems. It reads data from remote I/O modules and controllers over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU/ASCII and EtherNet/IP, then makes that data available simultaneously over OPC UA, MQTT and SNMP. The 4G LTE (FDD) link allows it to reach cloud services and remote sites where a wired network is not available.
For data logging, the unit can write I/O values to a remote MS SQL, MySQL or MariaDB database, supporting one database connection with up to 1000 tags, while also saving records to a local microSD card in CSV format. An offline data recovery mechanism is included for the remote database. Security features include HTTPS, an OpenVPN client, SNMP v3, communication encryption, and a dynamic blocklist and whitelist.
Cloud connectivity covers Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, IBM Cloud and ThingSpeak, while IFTTT logic can trigger app notifications. A PID function is available for local control logic. The metal case is designed for DIN-rail mounting and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75°C. This variant is intended for Asia only, except China.
