The WP-8429-CE7 is a Windows CE 7.0 programmable automation controller with the InduSoft runtime pre-installed, aimed at engineers building HMI and SCADA applications on a compact embedded platform. Its Cortex-A8 processor at 1.0 GHz is paired with 512 MB of DDR3 SDRAM and 256 MB of Flash, with a microSD slot for additional storage.
Four expansion slots accept I-8K (parallel-type) and I-87K (serial-type) series I/O modules, so the controller can be fitted to the signal count and mix a project needs. Communication is covered by two 10/100/1000M Ethernet ports, two non-isolated RS-232 ports, one RS-232/485 port and one RS-485 port with 3000 VDC isolation, plus two USB connectors and VGA output for a local display.
The unit has redundant power inputs with an alarm relay, a 64-bit hardware serial number for software copy protection, and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. It mounts on DIN-rail or wall. The ordering code WP-8429-CE7 CR is the RoHS-compliant 4-slot variant with the 300-tag InduSoft licence.
