The tET-PD6 CR is a compact Ethernet module that monitors six dry-contact digital inputs and reports their status over a 10/100 Base-Tx network. It can be configured through its built-in web server and communicates using Modbus TCP, Modbus UDP or MQTT, so it can feed HMI, SCADA, PLC or other software systems without additional protocol converters.
Each input supports latched operation, 32-bit counting and frequency measurement, with a rated frequency of 3.5 kHz without filter and a minimum pulse width of 0.15 ms. The inputs are isolated to 3750 Vrms and the effective wiring distance is up to 500 m, which suits distributed sensing in plant and building installations.
The module uses a 32-bit MCU, a CPU watchdog and a host watchdog for added operational security, and its firmware can be updated over Ethernet. Its small housing mounts on a DIN rail and it is powered from a +12 to +48 VDC terminal block with reverse polarity protection. It operates from -25 to +75 °C.
