GW-2525iM CR bridges Ethernet-based Modbus TCP clients and serial Modbus RTU or ASCII devices. It suits engineers who need to bring existing RS-422/485 equipment onto a TCP network without changing the field devices, while adding security features such as HTTPS, SNMPv3 and an IP address filter.
The built-in dual-port Ethernet switch lets units be wired in a daisy chain, reducing cabling and switch count. If power is lost, the LAN bypass engages so Ethernet communication along the chain is maintained. The module can be configured through a standard web browser, with user authentication and encrypted HTTPS access.
Both RS-422/485 ports are isolated, with 1000 VDC power isolation and 3000 VDC signal isolation. The unit accepts PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 2) or a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block supply and mounts on a DIN rail in a metal housing.
