The I-7011 CR is an RS-485 remote I/O module with one differential analog input that accepts voltage, current and thermocouple signals. This blue-cover (CR) ordering code uses the DCON protocol on its serial port, with a configurable baud rate from 1200 to 115200 bps and fixed data format (N, 8, 1).
The analog input supports thermocouple types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N and C, with open thermocouple detection for fault finding. Voltage ranges run from ±15 mV to ±2.5 V, and the 16-bit resolution gives an accuracy of ±0.1% of FSR at a total sampling rate of 10 Hz. Current input (±20 mA) requires an optional external 125 Ω resistor.
The digital input can be used as a 50 Hz event counter, and the two open-collector sink outputs can act as high/low alarms, with programmable power-on and safe values. Intra-module isolation is rated at 3000 VDC, and the module is powered from +10 ~ +30 VDC with reverse polarity protection. It mounts on a DIN rail and is rated for operation from -25 ~ +75 °C.
