The I-8042-G CR combines 16 photocoupler-isolated digital inputs and 16 isolated open-collector digital outputs on one module. It suits engineers who need switch and sensor signals and sink-type output loads handled in a single compact I/O point from the I-8K/I-87K low-profile range.
Each input can be wired for sink or source operation, while the outputs are sink type rated at 100 mA per channel with a load voltage of +5 to +30 VDC. Every channel is isolated, with 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal. Power-on and safe output values are available as options, and 32 LEDs display power, communication and the state of every I/O channel.
The module draws 1.5 W maximum and operates between -25 and +75 °C. This ordering code includes the CA-4002F DB37 female connector with plastic cover and uses the grey cover version of the module.
