The I-87K5 CR extends remote I/O over RS-485, giving engineers five slots for I-87K series modules on a single DCON-addressed port. It is aimed at installations where wiring is shared across several nodes and where the cabinet sees wide supply and temperature variation.
The unit accepts a wide, isolated 10 ~ 30 VDC supply and is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation, with storage from -30 ~ +75 °C. The RS-485 port is isolated to 3000 VDC, which helps in electrically noisy plants. Mounting on DIN-rail or wall is supported, and the CR ordering code denotes the blue-cover version.
Supported I-87K modules cover analogue input and output, digital input and output, counter and frequency types. Driver and software support is available for common integration environments, so modules fitted to the unit can be connected to existing host software.
