The I-87K5-G CR extends remote I/O over RS-485 by hosting up to five I-87K series I/O modules in a single DIN-rail or wall-mounted unit. It is intended for engineers who need additional analogue, digital, counter or frequency channels on a DCON network without adding a separate controller node for each module.
The unit suits harsh, electrically noisy sites. It has a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC power input, isolated power input and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. The RS-485 port is isolated to 3000 VDC and supports multi-drop topology, with a maximum baud rate of 115200 bps.
The gray-cover variant is the version to order for this code. Its I-87K series modules are supported by the software tools listed by the manufacturer, including DLL, ActiveX, LabVIEW, InduSoft and Linux drivers, and an OPC server.
