The I-87K9 CR extends I/O over an RS-485 link, giving engineers nine slots for I-87K series I/O modules on a single DCON-based network node. It suits installations where the controller sits some distance from the field I/O and a multi-drop bus is preferred.
The unit is built for electrically noisy and thermally demanding locations. It accepts a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC supply, provides isolated power input and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C, which helps reduce the number of separate I/O cabinets and simplifies installation and servicing. Its RS-485 port is isolated to 3000 VDC.
The CR ordering code denotes the blue-cover version. Supported I-87K modules cover analogue input and output, digital input and output, counter and frequency types, so one expansion unit can be populated to match the signal mix of a given machine or panel.
