The LX-8131 CR is a 1-slot member of the LX-8000 Linux-based PAC series. It brings control logic, local I/O and an operator interface into a single DIN-rail or wall-mounted unit, which suits engineers who want HMI, data acquisition and control in one compact PAC.
The controller runs Linux kernel 3.2 on a 1.0 GHz x86 dual-core CPU with 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM. It has one slot for I-8KW and I-87KW series I/O modules, and remote expansion is possible with Ethernet and RS-485 I/O modules. Storage includes a 32 GB mSATA SSD and a CF card slot, and the unit has four USB 2.0 host ports and a VGA display output.
Built-in services include a web server, FTP and SFTP, Telnet and SSH. The LinPAC SDK, which uses a GCC-based toolchain, supports developing I/O applications in GNU C. The unit is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation and carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certification.
