The PIO-DA16U CR is a universal PCI data acquisition card providing 16 analogue output channels at 14-bit resolution. Each channel can be set individually to voltage output (±10 V) or current output (0 ~ 20 mA), which suits mixed actuator and instrument loops in a single PC.
Calibration is performed in software rather than with jumpers and trim-pots, and the calibration data can be stored in EEPROM. The card also carries 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital input with pull-high and pull-low options, 16 channels of 5 V/TTL digital output, and a 4-bit Card ID switch so that software can identify individual boards when two or more are installed in the same computer. Three 16-bit timer/counter channels with a 4 MHz internal reference are also included.
The card is supplied with one CA-4002 D-Sub connector. Its 14-bit analogue outputs are specified at 0.04% of FSR ±2 LSB at 25 °C for ±10 V, and it operates from 0 to +60°C.
