The PPDS-743-MTCP connects RS-232 and RS-485 serial devices to an Ethernet network, with three RS-232 ports and one RS-485 port on a single unit. The VxComm driver can map the device's COM ports to standard COM ports on a Windows PC, which is useful when existing COM-based software needs to reach remote serial equipment.
The unit is programmable through the Xserver structure and runs the built-in MiniOS7 runtime. It also works as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems. Four digital inputs support latched and counter functions, and four open-collector NPN digital outputs are rated at 30 VDC and 100 mA max.
Power can be supplied by IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE over standard Category 5 cable, or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block. The plastic casing mounts on DIN-rail or wall, with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. The ordering code includes a CA-0910 cable.
