The WP-8421-CE7 CR is a four-slot programmable automation controller built around a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and Windows CE 7.0. It accepts four I-8K (parallel) or I-87K (serial) I/O modules, so you can build a local I/O system around a single controller, mounted on DIN-rail or on a wall.
Because it runs Windows CE 7.0, the controller can host PC-based control software, including applications written in Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#, Visual C++, as well as SCADA packages and soft PLC environments. Hard real-time capability and a dual watchdog timer support deterministic control.
Connectivity includes two 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports, four serial ports (two RS-232, one RS-485 with 3000 VDC isolation and one RS-232/RS-485), two USB 2.0 host ports and a VGA output. The unit measures 231 x 132 x 111 mm, weighs 885 g and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
