WP-9421-CE7 is a 4-slot programmable automation controller that combines a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with the Windows CE 7.0 operating system. It is designed for engineers who want to run PC-based control software on a compact, DIN-rail or wall-mounted controller, with four expansion slots for I-9K (parallel-type) and I-97K (serial-type) I/O modules.
The unit provides two 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports, four serial ports configurable as RS-232 or RS-485 with 3000 VDC isolation, two USB 2.0 host ports and a built-in VGA output. Memory includes 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM, 256 MB Flash and a microSD slot for cards up to 32 GB, with 128 KB MRAM and 16 KB FRAM for data retention.
For dependable operation, the controller offers a dual watchdog timer, a real-time clock, a redundant power input and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software protection. The metal casing is rated IP30 and the unit operates from -25 to +75 °C.
