The ET-2254 CR is an Ethernet I/O module offering 16 universal channels, each configurable as a digital input or a digital output. Its digital outputs are open-collector sink types rated at 100 mA per channel, with a load voltage of +5 ~ +30 VDC, while the digital inputs are source type. It suits engineers who need flexible I/O on an Ethernet network without a separate switch.
A built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-Tx switch with LAN bypass allows modules to be daisy-chained, which reduces cabling and network infrastructure. The module can also be configured through its web server, and access is protected by password and IP filter. Dual-watchdog functionality, along with programmable power-on and safe values for the digital outputs, helps keep the process in a defined state.
I/O Pair Connection lets local digital inputs be written to remote digital outputs in Push mode, or remote inputs be pulled to local outputs, over Ethernet using Modbus TCP. For higher-level systems, the module acts as an MQTT publisher and subscriber and supports SNMP V2c monitoring with optional Trap messages on I/O changes or restarts. Isolation is rated at 3000 VDC for I/O and 1500 VDC for Ethernet.
