tM-P4A4 CR is an RS-485 remote I/O module for engineers who need both digital inputs and switched digital outputs on one DIN-rail unit. The four sink-type wet-contact inputs and four source-type (PNP) outputs are each photocoupler isolated, so field wiring stays electrically separated from the control side.
Each input channel can also be used as a 16-bit counter, counting up to 65535 at up to 100 Hz, which suits pulse and totalising tasks alongside on/off control. Power-on and safe values for the outputs are programmable, so the module can define a known state at start-up and on communication fault.
The module provides a dual watchdog covering the module and communication, 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal. It is powered from 10 ~ 30 VDC and rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
