The uPAC-7186EX-SM-G is a palm-size programmable automation controller built around an 80186-80 CPU and the MiniOS7 real-time framework. It combines a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port with RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports, so it can act as a gateway between serial field devices and Ethernet or Internet-connected systems.
Programming is done in C using the MiniOS7 software development tool kits, with Modbus libraries provided for communication. Data can be exposed to SCADA packages over standard Modbus, and an I/O expansion bus allows one X-board to add analogue, digital or serial I/O.
This ordering code is the gray cover version of the uPAC-7186EX-SM. Choose it when you need the same controller hardware in a gray housing, with the RoHS-compliant build sold under this code.
