uPAC-7186PEX-MTCP-G is a palm-sized programmable gateway that brings RS-232 and RS-485 serial devices onto an Ethernet network. It converts Modbus TCP requests from SCADA or HMI software into Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII traffic for the equipment connected to its serial ports.
The unit receives power over the Ethernet cable through IEEE 802.3af Class 1 PoE, so it can be supplied directly from a PoE switch. The MiniOS7 operating system and C language development toolkits let engineers add custom integration logic, and the I/O expansion bus accepts one X-board for additional functions.
The -G suffix in this ordering code denotes the gray cover version. The unit mounts on a DIN rail and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C.
